Instead of hardening liquid resin as with a SLA, the laser melts a nylon powder to form each successive layer. Each layer is melted to the layer below to create a homogeneous plastic part, producing a very strong, durable part.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Advantages of Laser Sintering:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px;"><strong><span style="font-weight: normal;">Biocompatible material (USP Class VI certified, ISO 10993-1 compliant)</span></strong></span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px;">More durable material than most&nbsp;RP materials &ndash; 92% the density of injection molded nylon</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px;">High HDT &ndash; 350&deg;F, resists most chemicals</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px;">Mechanical properties stable over time</span></li>
<li><span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 12px;">Holds water!</span></li>
