.003" beam (HR - High Res) -- Why only strip and ship option?
When producing parts on a Viper SLA machine in High Res (HR) mode with a .003" laser beam and .002" z steps, the intent is to re-create very fine detail. If you then begin to sand or finish these parts with other abrasive techiques, it is very easy to remove desired features. If you would like .003" beam parts finished in some fashion, let us know and we can do what you would like us to do.

When is .003" beam (HR - Hi-Res) mode recommended?
In general, a Viper in NR (Normal Resolution) can build a wall down to .015". A Viper in HR (Hi-Res) can build a wall down to .006". If your part contains features smaller than .015" you will get a better part if you have it built in HR mode. If you have questions on your specific geometry contact us and we can make recommendattions.
